Established in 1897, Seiko Co., Ltd. is a Japanese office furniture manufacturer that manufactures and sells a wide range of products from office desks to bookshelves, lockers, and partitions. Based on the basic business philosophy of "creating a functional, safe and comfortable space and proactively contributing to society through management that values people," the company has three manufacturing plants and 13 sales offices. Seiko delivers high-quality, cost-effective products that prioritize environmental protection to companies, educational institutions, public facilities, etc. The company decided to deploy EDIFAS to go paperless and eliminate time consuming daily tasks and they succeeded in achieving these objectives, as after deploying EDIFAS Seiko managed to greatly reduce time required for managing delivery dates and orders and eliminate paper-based and manual tasks such as manually entering order data into order management system or manually checking sales and purchase orders with paper versions one-by-one. They also benefit from seamless integration of EDIFAS and Factory-ONE which creates a joint system of Manufacturing Management, Supply Chain Management and EDI.
