スポーツについて話しましょう

スポーツに国境はありません。スポーツは外国人とのコミュニケーションのシーンでも距離を縮めてくれます。最近は、多くの競技において日本人選手が世界中で大活躍し、プレーヤーの知名度も上がっています。ビジネスシーンで、ちょっとしたスポーツの話をするのはよくある話です。

[野球編]

A. Baseball is one of the popular sports in Japan.

A. Professional baseball is divided into two leagues, the Pacific and the Central. Each league has 6 teams. The season starts
　 at the end of March and ends in October. The first place teams from each league play to be the best in Japan in Japan
　 Series.

A. Sumo is. It is our traditional style of wrestling. There are official professional sumo tournaments held by Japan Sumo
　 Association. They are called honbasho. It is held 6 times a year and each honbasho is fifteen days long.
　（相撲です。相撲は日本の伝統的なレスリングです。日本相撲協会によって行われるプロの公式トーナメントがあ
　　ります。15日間の本場所を年6回開きます。）
Q. How is it played?

A. In a match, they lose if they first step out of the ring or touch the ground with any part of their body except the soles
　 of their feet.
　（では、先に土俵の外へ出るか、足裏以外の体の一部が地面に触れれば負けになります。）
Q. What is Chanko nabe?
　（ちゃんこ鍋は何ですか？）
A. A hot pot eaten by sumo wrestlers. Each sumo stable has its own recipe with unique flavors and ingredients. Many
 　sumo wrestlers run Chanko nabe shops after retirement.
　（力士が食べる鍋料理。部屋によって味や具材のレシピはさまざま。引退後、ちゃんこ鍋屋を営む力士も多いです
　　よ。）
